The privacy of our users is extremely important. This privacy policy outlines the types of personal information that is recieved and collected and how it is used.

The userdata that is collected by pixshare.de and stored in our database is mainly used to provide our services. The data collected is for pixshare.de use only and we won't share sensitive information about our visitors and users with any third-party, unless it is required by a representative of the law.

We do not collect any personally identifiable data on people who view images. Hovewer, when visitor uploads image to pixshare.de server information about visitor is recorded so in case of abuse of terms of service our staff can easily identify and block offending user. Information about uploader is available only to staff members that do moderation of images, that information will not be displayed anywhere in public or given to anyone.

All images will get removed automatically after the time selected at the uploader. The user does select a time span for how long the image is available on our servers. Currently the user can choose between 15 mins and 3 months. The user also has a removal link displayed when uploading images, if using the link displayed the image bound to that removal link will get deleted. We do not take backups of uploaded pictures. There is no way to restore a uploaded photo on our side.

Other important information

PIXSHARE does automatically send uploaded images to the API of CANADIAN CENTRE FOR CHILD PROTECTION INC. (Project Arachnid) to scan them against known abusive image material. This helps us removing the images and blocking the use of our services for criminals. We do also work closely together with local authorities in order to track down users who upload images that violate local law.
